American Nicholi Rogatkin won the queen event for the second time this year. They were 14 to take the start of the Slopestyle Les Gets 2018. In ideal conditions, with plenty of sunshine, perfectly prepared modules and very little wind, which guaranteed the safety of the riders, everything was in place for the public, who came in great numbers, to enjoy an exceptional show. And so it was! Encouraged by the cheers of a more than enthusiastic crowd, Nicholi ROGATKIN made the show, flying over the competition with his daring tricks, thus affirming his supremacy in this discipline which is as impressive as it is technically difficult. The Australian Troy BROSNAN wins ahead of 3 Frenchmen and the British Rachel Atherton wins for her big comeback on the legendary track of Les Gets, ahead of the French Myriam Nicole ! Until the last minute, the public dreamed of a 100% French podium! Three French riders were on the podium before the Australian Troy BROSNAN, who started in the very last position, created disillusionment in the French camp, taking the first place by one second. Amaury PIERRON finished second, ahead of Loïc VERGIER and Thomas ESTAQUE, at the foot of the podium.

In the women’s category, the public was hoping that Myriam NICOLE would repeat her victory of last year in Les Gets, but she finished second behind Rachel ATHERTON. The latter is making her comeback to Les Gets 14 years after the 2004 World Championships, which were held here, where she raced in the junior category. As for the terrain, it should be noted that this downhill course is one of the most beautiful on the world circuit, according to the riders. The event is also described as a must-see event and, in the opinion of the winner of the day, “100% awesome”!
