CHAVANNES / PLENEY
This route, between Morzine and Les Gets, is suitable for all levels and makes a great introduction to the electric mountain bike.
The start is at the top of the Chavannes Express chairlift, which thanks to its dual frame enables you to place your bike on the seats (a lift pass is required).
After a start on a regular gradient, the path runs alongside the 18-hole Les Gets golf course until the end of the circuit.
Halfway along, after a big descent, a steep climb over 150 m appears requiring a bit of momentum, even with electric assistance.
Following this climb, you’re back on a slight descent on the ridge separating Morzine from Les Gets.
You will pass alongside the mountain restaurant Le Vaffieu, which is open during the summer holidays.
150m further along on your left (still on the path adjacent to the golf course) you will find a solar recharging station for your electric mountain bike.
The circuit finishes on a slightly downward incline on a stony track alongside the covered ski carpet (operates in winter).
The finish is at the top of the Pleney gondola. From there, you can continue along the paths towards Morzine or go back down to Les Gets.
The route can also be followed in the opposite direction to finish on the Chavannes plateau and go back down to Les Gets village (via the road or the various paths that exist).
