Crankworx Les Gets

Dual Speed & Style

Jakub Venci’s endurance allowed him to take the victory in the Dual Speed & Style of the Crankworx Les Gets 2017. Strength and perseverance are perhaps the keys to success in reaching the podium of this event. However, Jakub Vencl proved that rest can sometimes pay off. With 3 consecutive victories under his belt, he is the man to beat, despite his recent health problems which forced him to rest following his victory at the Dual Speed & Style in Rotorua (New Zealand).

He also excels in Slopestyle, which he has been doing for 10 years, and one of his goals is to compete in Pump Track. His background as a trials rider makes him an outstanding competitor who could well dominate all mountain bike disciplines. Another top rider is Martin Soderstrom. The Swede, who is coming back from injury, took third place in the ranking ahead of the American Mitch Ropelato. He considers this performance as a first victory and is training hard in the gym to get back to his best level.

Winner Jill Kintner said that her downhill training sessions on the day had paid off in the Pump Track win. “You have to have good timing and good legs. You don’t pedal, but you sprint using your whole body. So you have to be very dynamic.
