MTB French Championships

AFTER THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2004, THE RESORT OF LES GETS HAS ADDED ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL EVENT TO ITS LIST OF MOUNTAIN BIKE EVENTS WITH THE 2012 FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIPS! THE ATHLETES PUT ON A GREAT SHOW AND THE FAVOURITES WERE PRESENT, NOT FORGETTING THE LARGE NUMBER OF SPECTATORS WHO CAME TO CHEER THEM ON. THE GETS AND MOUNTAIN BIKING STILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE AHEAD OF THEM… A BIG THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE ORGANISATION, THE PARTNERS, THE FRENCH CYCLING FEDERATION AND THE MANY VOLUNTEERS WHO TOOK PART IN THE SUCCESS OF THIS EDITION !

Cross-Country

The cross-country and road events at the London Olympic Games were the perfect opportunity for the participants to put the finishing touches to their preparation and feel reassured a month before the season’s main event!

Julien Absalon was victorious and won his 10th consecutive national title in the resort. Julie Bresset showed that she was slowly and surely reaching peak form with a fine performance in the women’s cross to finish the overall winner. And Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, the resort’s ambassador, continued her rise by taking the title in the youth category!

Downhill — Trial

New in Les Gets for the French Championships! The new Descente des Perrières had many a surprise in store with the unexpected victory by Pierre-Charles Georges in the men’s category. Emmeline Ragot confirmed her top 3 world ranking powering down the descent in the women’s category!

And it would have been impossible to not be impressed by the agility of Gilles Coustellier and his new Elite trial title!
