Col de la Colombière

The famous “Tour de France pass”. This north-facing side is the most difficult.  This could be the moment to make a stop, and how about a visit of the Chartreuse du Reposoir (monastery), before attacking the most challenging section.  Percentages are fairly sustained at the start, varying between 6% and 8% over 4 km, and above all in the final attack starting around 4 km before the pass, with an arduous road on the mountainside and a percentage of 10% over the last and straight 1,500 m section.
