Road safety!
— Observe the highway code, in particular rights of way and traffic lights
— Use cycle paths when available
— Cycle on the right and do not go further than the middle of the road to ensure bikes coexist peacefully with cars and motorbikes
— Never cycle more than two abreast on the road
— Control your speed at all times
For a comfortable ride…
— Remember to take your repair kit with ou in case you have a mechanical problem (puncture or broken chain)
— Take enough food and water with you
— Pack warm clothing such as a windbreaker for descending cols
— A change of clothes can be welcome after a long climb
